After a less than desired day on the first day of racing with the car not restarting after the driver change due to faulty wiring and a burned up fuel pump, day two was a whole different story. Driving solo for the first time and only 4 weeks after a compound wrist fracture, I was able to qualify the car 3rd about a second off pole with roughly 10 laps in the car as I was not allowed to drive on day 1 because of my hand early on and fuel pump issues later.
My plan was just to hold my position and drive smooth, but bad luck struck the 2nd place car of Andrew Palmer which allowed me to take over the second spot. Damage to the car behind me caused by contact from us racing on track forced him to pit. After noticing a large gap to the now 3rd place car behind me I put it in cruse mode and let him close most of the gap but insuring the #33 Forgiato tire car would make it to the finish in 2nd.
